If I had to start all over again...

I’ve always said this…

You can take all my money, my watch, my car, my house and everything I’ve ever owned.

And I will make it back in no time.

because my materialistic possessions can be taken away from me but no one can take away the SKILLS I’ve built up over the years.

This is why I promote skills acquisition over business models when it comes to creating an income online.

and I have the perfect story to prove this.

So I stopped writing emails myself for our e-commerce clients like 2-3 years now because our agency has a full time fulfillment team with copywriters, designers, account managers etc.

But yesterday, one of my friends here in Cape Town was sending an email to his e-commerce store list and I asked if I could out…you know, for fun 😂

He agreed and I can’t lie, I got very excited!

then I got to work…I changed up the copy angle, subject lines, gave him tips on how to approach emails etc. and we sent it out after I was done crafting the email.

It was actually fun for me.

And guess what? I woke up to this text the next day.

It was the best performing email they’ve ever sent.

Because of the skills I had acquired years ago, I was able to add value to my friends business.

Which brings me to the point of this email, as much as it’s been long that I’ve written an email, I’ve still got the DAWG in me.

So if I go back to zero today, I can easily sign 2-4 clients and build back my empire because the skill I have is valuable in the market today.

That’s the beauty of skill acquisition.

Not so many people can boast of such thing.

You’d see people who chase fast cash business models like dropshipping and crypto hoping to hit the lottery…

but these are just money grabs. you’ll never build any sellable skills trying to pursue those things.

So I’d advise that you go out there to build real skills so you can always make a living for yourself and no one can take it away from you.
